Meggitt PLC signs SMARTSupport agreement with FL Technics, for the supply of MRO services across the Eastern European region

Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components for the aerospace, defence and selected energy markets, has signed a 3 year, multimillion Euro SMARTSupport contract with FL Technics to supply MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) services for sensors, valves, actuators and fire extinguishers to operators across Eastern Europe and Russia. The agreement also includes support for FL Technics sister company, Jet Maintenance Solutions.

Headquartered in Lithuania, both FL Technics and Jet Maintenance Solutions form part of the Avia Solutions Group, a global supplier of major aviation services. This latest SMARTSupport contract is in addition to an existing agreement with FL Technics for rest of Europe, and extends Meggitt’s MRO service offering to better support the company’s growing customer base in Eastern Europe.

Stewart Watson, President of Meggitt’s Services & Support division, said: ‘This latest contract further reinforces the value we create for our customers through Smartsupport. It strengthens our partnership with FL Technics and opens up new opportunities in the Eastern European and Russian regions. We are also delighted to welcome Jet Maintenance Solutions to our family of customers and hope to continue to build on our relationship with the prestigious Avia Solutions group of companies over the coming years.

Zilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics, and a board member of directors at Avia Solutions Group, added, ‘The extension of the scope of our previous agreements demonstrates mutual trust and dedication towards our business relationship, that is now evolving into a full-scale partnership. I am confident this will bring extended range of opportunities in the near-term and strengthen strategic cooperation.’
