On Tuesday 15th November 2022, Parker Meggitt, a leading international aerospace and defence engineering business, received a “Choose France” award, at a ceremony at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris, under the patronage of the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The “Choose France” awards recognise foreign investors that contribute to France’s economic attractiveness and growth development plans.
Parker Meggitt was awarded this honour for its investment in a future site in Avrillé (near Angers, west of France). The business was chosen above 50 other international candidates coming from 20 different countries. The selection was done by a panel chaired by Pascal Cagni, Ambassador for International Investment and Chairman of “Business France”.

This project represents a significant investment in the long-term future of Parker Meggitt’s operations in France. The new 156,000 sq. ft. modern facility will provide a base for more than 500 employees, and strategically position the business for future growth. Construction is due to start in 2024, with the new site becoming operational in 2025.
Sustainability is at the heart of the project, with the business producing technology to support the electrification of aviation. Parker Meggitt will also be focused on limiting its carbon footprint during construction, and will continue reducing its environmental impact once operational.
